Metron Ireland’s Outdoor Functional Fitness Event Series — Coming 2026

What is the HALF TRON?

Same eight stations. Same weights. Half the running. The HALF TRON is the perfect entry point for newer athletes, those returning from injury, or anyone who wants to experience METKON without the full 6.4km run volume. This is not a lesser event — the functional work is identical. It simply meets you where you are.

Mixed Doubles — What’s Different. How that Works

One male, one female. You run together, alternate stations, and both push hard, all same as normal. The change is that in METKON women use women’s standard weights on farmers carries and lunges by the simple solution that each partner picks up their weight and goes together — which means mixed pairs will typically record strong times and it’s fairer weight wise for the woman. You’ll feel the effort. You’ll love the result. It’s built to make competing together feel exactly as it should.
